How long does the service take and how should I prepare the space?

The duration of the service depends on the number of units, the type of fabric, and the level of dirt and stains. As a general reference, cleaning a 2 to 4-seater sofa usually takes between 1 and 2 hours. However, at Clean-Home.es we never limit the service time—if the process takes longer to achieve good results, the price remains the same and no extra charges are applied. Our priority is quality, not speed.

You don’t need to move heavy furniture or do any special preparation. We only ask for clear access to the cleaning area. 

Regarding drying, after the service, the surface will be slightly damp but already sanitized and safe. Natural drying typically takes several hours depending on ventilation and room temperature. We recommend keeping windows open or using heating or air conditioning to speed up the process. In most cases, your items will be ready to use later the same day.

If there’s a specific stain you want removed, we can start with that area. If it doesn’t come out in the first 10 minutes, you can choose to cancel the rest of the service, and no charge will apply. Still, please remember that our service is mainly designed to eliminate excess moisture, dust mites, odors, and microorganisms. Some stains that have altered the fabric’s color may leave a permanent visual trace, even if the area is fully disinfected.

Is the service compatible with all types of fabrics?

Yes, our system is designed to effectively clean virtually all types of upholstery commonly found in homes, including microfiber, velvet, delicate fabrics, synthetic materials, blended textiles, and other frequently used fabrics. However, there are two important exceptions:

  • Natural leather (untreated): This material requires specialized treatments that are not part of our standard service.

  • Manufacturer-restricted fabrics: Some manufacturers design their upholstery to be cleaned exclusively with their own brand’s products. This is often done to ensure customers continue using their technical support services even after purchase. In such cases, external cleaning may void warranties or prove ineffective.

If your main goal is to remove a specific stain, we can begin by cleaning that exact area. If the stain cannot be fully removed, you have the option to stop the service and no payment will be required. However, we recommend the full service if you're looking to improve overall hygiene, odor, and the condition of your sofa, mattress, or rug.
